I cannot believe my little G is done with Kindergarten. I am OLD!!!!! She is OLD!!!!! But everyone is excited about SUmmer vacation. It is just sad. SHe told a teacher-helper "thank you for keeping us safe, in Kindergarten...but you don't have to anymore...we are first graders." then she touched her cheeked and grinned creepily.....ummmmmm

Last 1/2 day b4 Easter break!!!! boooooo! R U scared? Cuz, I am! haha. Hopefully this will also be the last day of clouds and slosh...at least for this week.
Today at theater class G is the "STAR OF THE DAY" This means bring in things that show a bit about you, and...sing a song with the mic for the class....OH! We are a bit excited...G is bringing: Genevieve, Iwaku erasers in a jar, and a tiny Peter Pan guy.

Cheshire day!!!! lines are "down" costumes ready...last dress rehearsal. 1 week to go...if you are in the "greater" Newtown are next Wednesday the 3rd at 5pm at Hawley elementary....it will be an event!!! Another Mommy caught me at a red light this morning wannabe hiphop dancin and singing. Even more embarrassing was that when I rolled down my window to shamefully say Hello...She heard that it was actually Radio Disney!!!!! Man! ahhhhhhhh! Back to school! Pulled her gripping the pillow hands out of bed this morning. But , we made it. Daddy got 2 hours of sleep, Jackson only got up 3 times and Gracie "slept" with me for a 5 hour block in the middle of the night....SO, all in all, a good night! haha

AAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhh! The day after the big day. G said," I wonder if they'll notice that I look six now" probably, since she looks 14!haha! She wore her b-day crown and new Alice shirt. We have family party pics up over on flickr....mayhem, and the "friends" party doesn't even happen until the 31st! We took G to the "princess and the frog" and to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. If you live near one, I highly recommend it. It rocked Gracie and Jackson's world.

Well Hello there everyone! Soooo...Gracie turns 6 in a few days. BUT, as you can see from this picture, she is actually 14!!!! plus for her birthday, she had us remove all dolls and baby stuff from her room to make room for the "big girl" desk for writing books and art experiments! sad but proud at the same time...

So... G wrote her letter to Santa and invited one of his elves to Casa Douglas. Ya know...cuz we're magic around here! And lo and behold...there was a knock at the door Sunday morning. Her stuffed dog, Genevieve (also magic btw) was outside helping get our attention to let Jasper in. He is a magical elf who comes to life at night with the rest of her "sleeping guys" he makes mischief and leaves little treats every day in December until Christmas. And....he keeps an eye on certain kiddos during the daytime as he"sleeps". he came with magic stones and lots of candy canes. Ya know, the only thing elves eat!

The neverending parade of stripes! It isn't even Wednesday. G got to present her science project today...and here's the kicker... I had sent her teacher pictures and info about how it went.
